Protest against US-Iraqi Force operation in Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Missan‘s Security and Defence Commission denounced a U.S.-Iraqi force airborne landing operations against five civilians south of Amara city.  The head of the Commission Sarhan Al-Musawi told IraqiNews.com that “the Commission strongly protests against the arrest of five civilians, including a 13-year boy.”  “The Council threatened to suspend its work if such actions arerepeated, particularly considering that the operation was conducted without the knowledge of the governor, the provincial council, the army, or police in the province,” Musawi added .  Amara, the center of Missan province, lies 390 km south of the capital, Baghdad.  RM (TP)/SR 645
