Provincial Councils of 14 provinces participate in Conference in Wasit

Wassit (IraqiNews.com) A conference of the Provincial Councils was launched in Wassit province on Sunday.

The head of Wassit PC, Mahmoud Abdul Ridha, stated to IraqiNews.com “The conference, which is attended by PCs of 14 province, will discuss the Articles 112 and 115 of the constitution that are related to the authorities of the Central Government and the Regional Governments and provinces concerning the administration of the natural resource of oil and gas.”

“The conference will also discuss the Elections Law No. 36 of 2008 which is related to the elections of the PCs and the Districts,” he added.

“The crisis of the electric power and the investment process as well as the national resource will be tackled during the conference,” he assured.

“All PCs responded to the invitation sent to all the PCs except Kurdistan Region but Salah-il-Din PC did not attend the conference,” he concluded.
