PUK, KIU stress importance of unifying Kurdish stances

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan headed by, Jalal Talabani and the Kurdistani Islamic Union, headed by, Mohamed Faraj Ameen, stressed the importance of unifying the Kurdish stances through joint cooperation.

A statement by the PUK website cited “The Deputy Secretary General of the PUK, Barham Salih, accompanied by the members of the political office of the PUK, Azad Jundiyani, and, Sadi Biera, visited the political office of the KIU where they were received by Ameen.”

“Salih congratulated Ameen for assuming the post of the Secretary General of the KIU,” the statement added.

“Salih confirmed the necessity of consolidating the relations between the PUK and the KIU in addition to the importance of unifying the stances of the Kurdish political sides,” the statement concluded.
