PUK promises to deal responsibly with pending issues with Central Government to solve them

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Following the announcement of the results of the elections of Kurdistan Region’s provincial councils by the Independence High Electoral Commission of Iraq.

PUK Political Bureau issued a statement congratulating the freedom-loving people of Kurdistan on the success of the process.

The statement that was received by Iraqi News also addressed the media outlets which were keen on taking place an election free from fraud and chaos. The congratulation also was directed to entire participating parties of the elections, hoping the process would be seen as an experiment to promote democracy and undertake the democratic duties in Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

“On concluding the election process, we take this opportunity to once again reiterate that PUK with its remarkable victory recording at the level of Iraq and the region is still committed to deal responsibly with the emerging issues and seek for solutions to the matters relating to Iraq, Kurdistan Region and the disintegrated areas,” part of the statement reads.

“We deeply show appreciation and congratulation to the families of martyrs, Peshmirga, PUK comrades and supports on the success of PUK Lists and candidates in the recent elections of Iraq and Kurdistan Region which would have not possible without their efforts and effective pre-election campaigning,” the statement added.

PUK took valuable lessons from the last elections and diagnosed the faults; thus, it will never sacrifice its differences for any kind of policy away from the roadmap coming in the statement issued during the last meeting of the PUK Leadership Council, the statement further added.
