Required signatures for withdrawing confidence to be presented to Talabani, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussien al-Shalan, of the Iraqiya Slate considered “The doubts shown over the process of collecting the required MPs’ signatures for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, represent a normal issue.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The collected signatures were submitted to the Kurdistani Alliance to be presented to the President, Jalal Talabani, who is the concerned person.”

“The decision of withdrawing confidence is not arbitrary where it comes as a result of the recent meetings held in Erbil which comprehensively studied the next stage and the suggested figures to assume the PM post who should adhere to the constitution and the agreements to head a government of national partnership,” he concluded.

The spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “We managed to get the required signatures to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” noting that “The MPs’ signatures were collected from all the blocs.”

It is worth mentioning that Kurdistan Region witnesses political movement to settle the crisis; among the solutions presented by the political sides in Kurdistan Region is to withdraw confidence from the government.
