Reysan calls to form higher council for economy in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee, Abdul Hussein Reysan, highlighted the necessity to “Form a higher council for economy in Iraq.”

Husseini said “The problem in the economy lies in absence of the decision making side in the economy sector,” pointing out that “Such decisions need influential political cover since the minister cannot pass his resolutions, which he believes to be valuable for the Iraqi economy if he does not have an influential bloc in the Parliament to support him.”

He stated that “Iraq needs to form a higher council for economy because the Iraqi economy has shifted recently towards the market economy.”
