Saad urges FM to expedite compensating affected families by reconsidering Iraqi-Kuwaiti borders

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Suzan al-Saad, of the Fadhila bloc called the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to expedite compensating the affected families by reconsidering the Iraqi-Kuwaiti borders.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, she said “Taking the territories resided by Iraqis proves that they are Iraqi territories and why there were granted to Kuwait? Did the committees tasked for this issue are independent and neutral?”

She stressed the necessity of “Making the compensation funds enough to buy new lands that could replace the families’ previous lands,” urging the “Government not to waste any Iraqi land for the sake of releasing Iraq from the Seventh Chapter of the UN’s Charter because history will determine the sides that own those lands.”
