Saad urges to speed up endorsement of Oil law draft

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Oil and Energy Parliamentary Committee, Suzan al-Saad, confirmed “The necessity of endorsing the Oil law draft to organize the performance of the oil sector and to set the oil policy of the country.”

She stated to IraqiNews.com “Iraq is among the establishing members of OPIC Organization and has huge natural resources so there must be a law to make use of these resources to serve the Iraqis.”

She called “To keep on the discussions over the law drafts to reach a mature version of the law and to call upon some Iraqi experts abroad to participate in revising the draft from its various aspects.”

“All the blocs should intensify their efforts to reach agreement about the law through the dialogues,” she added, noting that “The amended version sent by the government ensured the rights of all the Iraqi communities in this fortune.”

“The blocs must realize that delaying the endorsement of this law will remain as the main reason behind the crisis between the Federal Government and the Regional Government of Kurdistan,” she concluded.
