Sadr: Military forces deployment in Kirkuk by CG, Kurdistan RegionG "Provocative"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, described “The military forces deployment in Kirkuk by the Central Government and the Government of Kurdistan Regional Government as Provocative.”

In response to question by one of his followers over the military forces deployment in Kirkuk by the CG and the Kurdistan RegionG, Sadr said “No need for these provocative behaviors while the dialogue is fruitful.”

Kirkuk province, which is 250 KM far from Baghdad, is inhabited by various communities and sects and considered among the disputed area between the Central Government and Kurdistani Regional Government.

The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki held the session of the Council of Ministers in Kirkuk province, discussing its needs and problems.

A number of Kurdish MPs described Maliki’s visit to Kirkuk and holding the meeting of the Council of Ministers in the province as “Provocative,” while the Kurdish Ministers within the government boycotted the meeting.
