Sadr’s stances behind attempt of assassination targeted him last Friday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ameer al-Kinani, of Ahrar bloc pointed out “The stances of the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, are behind the explosion of the bomb that targeted him on last Friday.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The security situation is unstable in Iraq in general thence targeting any national or political figure like Sadr by the terrorist groups is a normal issue.”

“Such assassination attempts against Sadr are expected due to his stances against the US occupation,” he added.

“The elements of the Sadr Trend are able to protect Sadr from any foreign or internal attack,” he concluded.

Earlier, an Improvised Explosive Device IED exploded near the house of the
