Sadr Trend withdraws only from investigating Maliki, says Wardi

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Liqa Wardi, of the Iraqiya Slate stressed that “The Sadr Trend withdrew only from the process of investigating Maliki because the trend is convinced of the supervisory role of the parliament.”

She stated to IraqiNews.com “The Trend will not be a side in the process of the investigation while the person who will conduct the investigation will be from the IS or the Kurdistani Alliance,” noting that “The parliamentary votes will be enough because the political sides are convinced.”

“Some figures are nominated to conduct the investigation which we want to be professional,” she added.

“The IS knows that the Sadr Trend is subjected to internal and foreign pressures,” she concluded.
