Sadrist leader criticizes armed vehicles for MPs

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com : Sadrist Trend leader Muqtadqa al-Sadr criticized today the parliamentary voting to buy armed vehicles for MPs within 2012 federal budget.   He described this move as “shameful” and “anyone who rides them is a traitor to his people and disobedient to God”.   On the other hand, Ahrar bloc MP, affiliate to Sadrist Trend, is collecting signatures to prevent such deal, denying that his bloc voted for this move, according to a statement issued by the Sadrist Trend.   MP Ali Muhsin al-Timimi confirmed that his bloc was against such voting.   Parliament sources declared Thursday that the Parliament approved buying 350 armed vehicles for its members with an amount of 50-60 billion Iraqi dinars.   1554
