Sadrist MP criticizes granting 17% of Infrastructure law draft to Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Riyadh al-Zaidi, of al-Ahrar bloc criticized the demand of Kurdistan Regional Government over granting it 17% of the Infrastructure law draft.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The demand of Kurdistan RegionG over granting it 17% of the Infrastructure law draft is impossible and unreal one where all sides try to get the satisfaction of the citizens by such requests which will make delay the process of building Iraq.”

“When we told Kurdistan RegionG that the Fao Seaport will be included in the Infrastructure law draft, it requested 17% of the incomes of the Fao Seaport by stating that Kurdistan Region does not have a seaport,” he added.

He described the demand of Kurdistan RegionG as “Unjustified where this law draft is a federal one and Kurdistan Region cannot be granted a ratio from it.”
