Sadrist MP: Davutoglu’s visit to Kurdistan Region, Kirkuk violates Iraqi sovereignty

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussien Alwan al-Lami, of Ahrar bloc criticized “The visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, to Kurdistan Region and Kirkuk.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “We condemn this visit which violates the Iraqi sovereignty and the diplomatic norms,” noting that “This visit, which comes without notifying the Central Government, is an interference in the Iraqi internal affairs.”

“Davutoglu’s visit is not the first time for Turkey to violate the Iraqi sovereignty to create sedition among the Iraqis,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, has arrived in Kirkuk after visiting Erbil.

Davutoglu has arrived to Kurdistan Region on last Wednesday where the Premier of Kurdistan Region, Nijirvan Barzani, has received him in Erbil airport.

The Iraqi Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the visit and considered it as a violation for Iraq’s sovereignty.
