Salah al-Din tribes extend demands, rejecting establishing regions

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com:  The head of Salah al-Din‘s tribal sheikhs stressed today that the demand to establish a region is within the capacity of the provincial council, but the tribes can avoid resorting to it if the government responded to legal and judicial demands. In a general meeting representing most Iraqi tribes, Sheikh Khamees Naji Jbarra told IraqiNews.com that “we, as tribes, can convince the people, but the political decision belongs to the provincial council members who were elected by the people”. Many legal and judicial demands were submitted to the central government, including halting random arrests and encouraging the reconstruction of the province, provided a time table  of three months should be designated.
