Sayadi withdraws from Parliamentary Educational Committee

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The independent MP, Kadhim al-Sayadi, announced his withdrawal from the Parliamentary Educational Committee on Saturday.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday, he said “The reason behind my withdrawal from the Committee is due to the corruption of the Education Ministry, especially in the office of the Education Minister, Mohammed Timim, where the latest employments were based on paying more money rather than proficiency.”

“The Committee called to host Timim to be acquainted with the corruption spread in the ministry but no one listed to the calls, ” he added, noting that “Timim did not adhere to the strategy and the budget allocated to the ministry for this year which negatively affected the educational process in Iraq.”
