Shawis, Larijani discuss Iraqi-Iranian bilateral relations

(IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Prime Minister, Ruz Nouri Shawis, who is visiting Iran currently on top of a ministerial delegation, discussed with the Head of the Iranian Shura Council, Ali Larijani, the bilateral relations between both countries and the developments in the region.

The official Iranian News Agency cited “Larijani during his meeting with Shawis in Iran, stressed that there are very wide and encouraging prospects of cooperation between Iran and Iraq and the agreements concluded between the two States help in resolving a lot of problems in services and development of Iraq domains.”

“In light of the updates in the region, Iran supports the positive role played by Iraq in dealing with these regional developments,” Larijani added.

For his part, Shawis praised the historic relations between both countries, expressing his wish to implement the concluded agreements for the benefit of the two countries.

In a speech about Syrian events, Shawis stressed that “Iraq calls to stop violence in Syria and to adopt the dialogue to get rid of the current crisis.”

It is worth to mention that the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Shawis, headed to Iran on top of a ministerial delegation, on last Tuesday, in an official visit to discuss the bilateral, economic relations and discuss implementing the concluded agreements between both countries.
