Shiite Endowment denounces violence against Muslims

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Shiite Endowment denounced “The violent activities that target the Muslims in Burma,” criticizing “The silence of the international, Islamic and Arab Countries towards such crimes.”

The head of the Shiite Endowment, Salih al-Haidari, stated to IraqiNews.com “We condemn the crimes committed by the Buddhists against the Muslims in Burma which include murder, displacement and suppression crimes though the Muslims population in this country is about 10 millions out of 55 millions of the population of the country.”

“These violent activities come due to the unjust decisions by the Military Council which deprived the Muslims from their national identity and prevented the Muslims from getting married before the age of the 25 as they could not continue their study after the Primary School in addition to the rules that prevent them from practicing the commercial activities,” he stressed.

“Thousands of Muslims were killed in the ugliest ways in addition to the rape operations where the Burmese government did nothing to stop these violations that are increasing daily, but the government blesses these violations by being silent,” Haidari added.

“The Shiite Endowment is surprised over the stances of the International Organizations , the Human Rights Organizations, the Islamic Conference Organization and the Islamic countries that claim taking care of Muslims’ affairs all over the world,” he concluded.
