Shwani urges to reconsider General Amnesty Law draft

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Legal Parliamentary Committee, Khalid Shwani, pointed out that “The vote on the General Amnesty Law draft was postponed because the draft needs to be reconsidered.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “In order to avoid creating problems for the Iraqi society, the law draft must be reconsidered.”

“This law requires a general compromise over the concept of terrorism,” he stressed.

The parliament decided to postpone the vote on this law till further notice on last Thursday session due to disputes among the blocs over its draft.
