Shwani, US Embassy delegation discuss mechanism of nominating IHEC members

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Khalid Shwani, discussed “The mechanism of nominating the members of the Independent High Electoral Commission with a delegation from the US Embassy in Iraq.”

A statement by the media office of the Parliament received by IraqiNews.com cited “Both sides discussed the law drafts of the Federal Court, Supreme Judicial Council and the amendment of the Elections Law during a meeting for them on last Thursday.”

“They reviewed the solutions which come in harmony with the Constitution and the political situation in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
