Sihail, Salah-il-Din Governor discuss consequences Tikrit prisoners’ escape

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The first Deputy Speaker, Qusay al-Sihail, and the Governor of Salah-il-Din province, Ahmed Abdul Aded, in addition to head of the Security Committee within Salah-il-Din Provincial Council, Mohamed Hassan Atiya, discussed the consequences of the prisoners’ escape from Tikrit Central Prison.

A statement by Sihail’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Sihail received a delegation from Salah-il-Din province at his office in Baghdad where they discussed the security situation and the services in the province.”

“The delegation involved MP, Qutaiba al-Jobouri and MP, Karima al-Jawari,” the statement added.

“Sihail stressed punishing the sides responsible of the prisoners’ escape to sustain the security of the citizens,” the statement concluded.

It is worth mentioning that a terrorist attack targeted Salah-il-Din Central Prison resulted in escape of dozens of death sentenced prisoners.
