SLC MP describes attempts to topple Maliki as “Foreign Conspiracy”

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The State of Law Coalition’s MP Hussein al-Safi described attempts to withdraw confidence from Premier Nouri al-Maliki as “Foreign conspiracy.”

Safi stated to Iraqi News Friday “A foreign conspiracy planned outside Iraq aims at toppling the Iraqi Government and the President Talabani realizes this issue,” noting that “We call political sides within the political process to speed up holding the National Meeting because it is the best solution for reliving the current crisis.”

“Regrettably, some parts, through dual meetings, want to deny necessity for holding the National Meeting which became a dire need to discuss all files and pending issues among political blocs,” MP Safi concluded.
