Soon: Egyptian delegation to arrive in Sulaimaniya

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: The visiting Egyptian ministers of foreign affairs and energy will soon arrive in Sulaimaniya city to meet with President Jalal Talabani on bilateral issues, an official source said on Sunday. “Ministers Ahmed Aboul Gheit and Hassan Younis will arrive at Sulaimaniya airport in the coming few hours to meet with President Talabani and Kurdish leaders on Iraqi-Egyptian relations,” the head of the central media center in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), which is led by Talabani, Jindyani, told IraqiNews.com. Earlier today, Sadiq al-Rikabi, a political advisor for the Iraqi prime minister, said that Maliki discussed with the Egyptian ministers the reopening of the Egyptian embassy in Baghdad The Egyptian officials arrived in Iraq on an unannounced visit to meet with the Iraqi president and premier in the highest-ranking visit by an Egyptian delegation since 1990.
