2469 Syrian refugees arrive in Anbar, says official

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) The Department of Migration and Displacement in Anbar province assured that “The number of the Syrian refugees who have arrived in Anbar province limbed today, Friday, into 2469 persons to escape the violence in their country and they were accommodated in Qaem Camp.”

The director of the Department Khalid Baha stated to IraqiNews.com on Friday “Till Friday afternoon, 2469 Syrian refugees have arrived to Anbar province through Qaem Border Post, most of them are children and women.”

He mentioned that “The department also prepared another camp called (7 km Camp) but we did not get the permission of the Premier Nouri al-Maliki to host the Syrian Refugees there,” calling the Iraqi Government to “Speed up inaugurating this camp due to expectations of increasing the number of the Syrian refugees during the next few days.”
