Talabani, Abdul Mahdi discuss political developments
Sulaimaniya (IraqiNews.com) The President, Jalal Talabani, and the leader within the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Adil Abdul Mahdi, discussed the developments of the political scene and its complications.
A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan cited “Talabani received Abdul Mahdi in Sulaimaniya province on Friday,” noting that “Abdul Mahdi congratulated Talabani on the 37th Anniversary of the PUK and Talabani expressed his gratitude for Abdul Mahdi’s visit.”
“Talabani shed the light on his efforts to eliminate the crisis to preserve the national achievements,” the statement added.
“Abdul Mahdi emphasized Talabani’s role in ending the disputes that hurdle the political process,” the statement concluded.
