Talabani, Chalabi discuss political crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President, Jalal Talabani, met the head of the Iraqi National Congress, Ahmed al-Chalabi where this meeting is the second one within this week.

Earlier, Chalabi has met Talabani on last Saturday and the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafery, on Sunday in addition to the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, on Thursday in Najaf province.

A presidential statement cited “During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political updates and the stress on the necessity of increasing the efforts to find the good solutions to settle the disputes.”

“Chalabi appreciated the efforts of Talabani to bring the various views closer to settle the disputes,” the statement concluded.
