Talabani criticizes statements of SLC’s MP against Barzani

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President, Jalal Talabani, criticized the statements of MP, Yasin Majid, the member of the State of Law Coalition headed by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, where he described the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, as being “A danger to the economy and security of Iraq.”

A presidential statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday cited “At the current time Talabani is conducting different meetings to bring the various views closer to conduct dialogue, MP, Majid, stated with dangerous statements that refers to a war against Barzani who is forming a big delegation to meet the other political sides to settle the crisis.”

“Talabani strongly condemns these irresponsible statements that hinder the national efforts to settle the crisis, calling the Iraqi National Alliance to stop such statements and oblige its members to respect the means of the national dialogue,” the statement added.

Mp, Yasin Majid, has accused Barzani of being “A danger to the economy and security of Iraq where he wants Kurdistan Region to have a powerful political role rather than Baghdad and the Pishmirga elements to replace the IA.”
