Talabani donates ID1b. for displaced Christians

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: President of Iraq Jalal Talabani on Sunday donated one billion Iraqi dinars (ID), or $833,000, for displaced Christian families in Mosul city, according to a release issued by Talabani’s office on Sunday. “This decision comes as part of Talabani’s firm national stance,” read the release that was received by IraqiNews.com . “A committee that comprises representatives of Christian denominations in addition to Talabani’s office will be formed, to supervise the mechanism of distributing the donation,” it added .
