Talabani stresses necessity of contribution of Kurdish parties in settling pending issues between KA, Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President, Jalal Talabani, discussed with a delegation of the Kurdish parties headed by Burham Salih, the meetings that he has conducted with the representatives of the political blocs in Iraq.

A presidential statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday cited “Talabani assured that there is a progress in the meetings that he has conducted with the political blocs in Iraq.”

“Talabani wished the success to those meetings to be a factor in settling the political crisis in Iraq,” the statement added.

“He assured that the demands of the Kurdish blocs must be within the constitution and according to the ambitions of the Iraqi people,” the statement pointed out.

The statement concluded “Talabani assured that the Kurds have a vital role in building the new democratic Iraq.”

Earlier, a delegation of the Kurdistani Alliance held a meeting with the Iraqi National Alliance to discuss the pending issues between Kurdistan Region and Baghdad.
