Tayfour: Political blocs have to resort to Erbil Agreement, constitution to settle disputes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Speaker, Arif Tayfour, pointed out “The partners of the political process shall resort to Erbil Agreement according to which the government was formed and to the constitution to settle the disputes among them.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The reports over holding a meeting between the Kurdistani Alliance and the Iraqi National Alliance to keep the government of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, for two more years, are groundless.”

“Erbil and Najaf meetings were held to reach a common view and the meetings will continue in Baghdad to prepare for the national meeting to end the crisis by reaching a national agreement,” he mentioned.

“The last week witnessed wide efforts and meetings among the political leaders,” he added, stressing that “The President, Jalal Talabani, emphasized setting a date for the meetings soon.”
