Thi-Qar police chief denies reports of seizing 20 motorcycles rigged with explosives

THI-QAR, Sept.21 (Iraqi News) Thi-Qar police chief on Sunday said intelligence reports revealed 20 motorcycles rigged with explosives had entered the southern province. “News reports that 20 motorcycles rigged with explosives had been seized were basesless”Brig.Gen Sabah al-Fatlawi, Thi-Qar police chief, told IraqiNews.com-Voices of Iraq(Iraqi News). “Police forces set plans to seized 20 motorcycles rigged with explosives the intelligence tips received indicated they had entered the provinces,” he added. The police official noted security measures to contain the threats led security forces to “seize 139 suspected motorcyles”.  When the police chief asked about the identity of bombers of north Thi-Qar two days ago, he said “police information databases indicated they fled a crackdown in Basra and were trained in a neighbouring country”.
