Tuma calls government to speed up solving crisis of electric power in Basra

Basra (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Fadhila bloc in the parliament, Ammar Tuma, called “The government to speed up the procedures to solve the crisis of the electric power shortage in Basra province.”

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The government must perform speed actions to settle this crisis especially in with the high temperature in Ramadan month.”

Concerning the demonstration that was launched in Basra province on last Monday, he urged “The citizens to adopt peaceful means and to avoid violence.”

He warned “The security force from conducting violent activities against the demonstrators.”

It is worth mentioning that a demonstration was launched in al-Jamhouriya area of central Basra province on last Monday to protest the continuous lack of the electric power.
