Turfi criticizes 2012 financial budget

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Habib al-Turfi, of the Citizen bloc criticized the budget of 2012.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The budget is not in harmony with the citizens’ ambitions,” noting that “The budget was devoted towards the governmental institutions.”

“The Citizen bloc stressed the importance of achieving the citizens’ expectations through supporting the retired people, agricultural sector and the ration card,” he added.

“We do not say that the budget is negative but it does not accomplish our aims,” he concluded.

Parliament voted, on February 23rd, over the budget approving it.
