Turkish artillery shells Iraqi Kurdistan borders

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Turkish artillery have renewed their shelling of Iraqi Kurdish borders near Arbil province, leading to the emigration of citizens from their villages, according to National Kurdistan Union Party. The statement, received by IraqiNews.com, pointed out that the shelling commenced this morning, 150 km to the northeast of Arbil province, forcing many to emigrate their areas and villages. The statement did not clarify if there were any casualties as a result of the shelling. This area was the target of several shelling attacks last year which led to many casualties and material losses and damages. RM (TP)/SR 773
