Turkish Minister: Turkey has no problem with Federal Government of Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources, Taner Yildiz, said that “Turkey does not have any problem with the Federal Government of Iraq.”

Answering a question raised by a journalist in Hatay state, Ylidiz, assured that “Turkey is a state of law and adopt its proceedings in a framework that respects the laws of Turkey and the international laws as well.”

According to Anatolian official News Agency, the Turkish Minister confirmed that “Falling in a crisis with the Central Government of Iraq is something unthinkable as Turkey upholds to put all the oil revenues from the crude of oil sector in the north of Iraq, in the treasury of the Iraqi Federal Government.”

He added that “These revenues are distributed according to the Constitution of Iraq and it is an internal Iraqi affair,” explaining that “There is no intention at all by the Turkish government to intervene in the internal affairs of Iraq.”
