Turkish Newspaper: US oil comapny’s contracting with Kurdistan RegionG defies Baghdad CG
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Turkish Hurriyet Newspaper stated “The US Chevron Oil Company has contracted with Kurdistan Regional Government to search for oil in Kurdistan Region which makes it the second US oil company to work in Kurdistan Region,” noting that “It represents a new challenge to the central government of Iraq.”
According to the Newspaper, Chevron Oil Company has signed the contract on the 19th of July coinciding with the conflict between Kurdistan Region and the central government in order to search for oil in six fields.
