Turkmen oppose military deployment in disputed areas

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Turkmen Front, Arshad al-Salihi, confirmed that the Turkmen are against the military deployment in the disputed areas especially with presence of constitutional problems with Kurdistan Region.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Deploying the Iraqi Army forces and the Pishmirga forces in the disputed areas is arousing the doubts among the doubts among the Turkmen,” noting that “The conflicts are against the interests of all sides and will cause regional interferences.”

He called to “Form joint forces to assume the task of sustaining security in the disputed areas,” he continued.

“The Turkmen are ready to be a neutral side to settle the crisis between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government,” he concluded.
