UAE top official arrives in Baghdad-source

BAGHDAD/IraqiNews.com: United Arab Emirates (UAE) top official on Tuesday made a landmark visit to Iraq to discuss key issues with Iraqi officials, a Council of Ministers office source said. “Deputy Commander of UAE armed forces and the regent for Abu Dhabi Emirate Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayd al-Nahayan and a high-level delegation arrived in Baghdad to hold talks with Iraqi official on how to boost the cooperation between the two countries” a Council of Ministers office source told IraqiNews.com. Earlier, the source said “the delegation would build on talks held between Iraq and UAE during PM Nouri al-Maliki’s visit to the Gulf country and the landmark visit made by UAE FM to Baghdad”. The United Arab Emirates is the first Gulf Arab country to forgive all of Iraq’s debt. It has cancelled almost $7 billion of debt including interest and arrears payments owed by Baghdad, becoming.
