UN interference in IHEC’s performance to globalize Iraqi issue, says Khafaji

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Sadrist MP Mohammed Ridha al-Khafaji of the Ahrar Bloc described the demands of some political blocs to involve the UN in supervising the performance of the Independent High Electoral Commission and Human rights Commission as “an attempt to globalize the Iraqi case.”

In a statement to Iraqi News, he said Thursday “The interference of these global organizations in the performance of the Iraqi establishments is considered a type of admitting failure of the establishments to run and organize their performance and an official request for foreign expertise.”

“These calls represent an attempt to keep Iraq dominated by foreign powers,” he stressed, noting that “These blocs which adopt these calls would have better suggest forming specialized committees with long experience and professionalism to set eh proper solutions to treat any possible problem.”

“We have to be proud that Iraq has well experienced and educated people who can solve problems all over the world instead of calling to import assistance of foreign establishments,” MP Khafaji concluded.
