UNSC begins session to bring Iraq out of Chapter VII

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The United National Security Council started its session Wednesday evening to discuss removing Iraq from Chapter VII, according to al-Iraqiya satellite channel. The channel aired footages of Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari while shaking hands with international officials before the session, to be presided by Vice President Joseph Biden. The UN Security Council passed the original resolutions under Chapter VII of the UN Charter which was used to authorize sanctions and the international military operation to liberate Kuwait in 1991.
