Urgent – CoM decides to form committee to investigate Davutoglu’s visit to Kirkuk
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) During its 35th session held on Tuesday, the Council of Ministers decided to form “A committee to investigate the visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, to Kirkuk on last Thursday.”
A statement issued by the Official Spokesman of the Iraqi Government, Ali al-Dabbagh, cited “The Council decided to form the Committee that involves the Deputy Premier, Hussein the Shihristani, as a head in addition to the Minister of State for Provinces Affairs, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Interior, Deputy Minister of Transport, the Deputy Head of the Intelligence Department and the Premier’s Advisor for Legal Affairs as members.”
“The committee is tasked to investigate the visit and to present the recommendations to Council as soon as possible,” the statement added.
“The Council discussed the updates in the Turkish-Iraqi relations and decided to reconsider these relations,” the statement concluded.
