Urgent – Nijaifi: Maliki agrees to task police with preserving security in disputed areas

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, assured that the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, agreed upon his proposal over assuming the task of the security in the disputed areas by the local police evenly and to withdraw all the forces from them.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Concerning the administrative affairs, they will be assumed by the local provincial authorities.”

“I contacted the Kurdistani Regional Government and informed them about my proposal and I wish their response to be positive during my soon visit to Kurdistan Region,” he concluded.
