VP, Foreign Minister confer U.S. air strike on Syria

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Vice President (VP) Tareq al-Hashemi conferred with Hoshyar Zebari, Iraq’s Foreign Minister, on the consequences of the U.S. air strike on Syria, according to a release issued on Saturday by al-Hashemi’s office. “Al-Hashmei received Zebari yesterday evening, and discussed with him Iraq’s relations with Arab countries,” said the release that was received by IraqiNews.com. “Al-Hashemi stressed the necessity of containing the consequences of the U.S. air strike on Syria days ago,” it added. “The two sides also conferred Iraq’s internal circumstances, and the latest developments regarding the Iraqi-U.S. proposed security pact,” it noted.
