VP urges normal relations with Kuwait

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on Saturday urged a prompt resumption of relations between Iraq and Kuwait, according to a presidential statement. During his reception of a visiting Kuwaiti media delegation, Hashemi said that it is necessary to promptly reconsider all pending issues and to normalize relations with Kuwait, read the statement that was received by IraqiNews.com. “I will convey the delegation’s remarks to the Presidential Board and the executive board to speed up the process of nominating an Iraqi ambassador to Kuwait and to specify the remaining points of difference between the two countries in order to reach a solution that is acceptable to both,” Hashemi added.
