Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Shirwan al-Waeli, assured that “The Iraqi Constitution granted the rights for the handicapped citizens but we need to activate the laws that concern them.”

He stated in a press statement after the celebration that he attended on last Friday for establishing the Committee of the Handicapped Citizens in Iraq “The Article 32 of the constitution stressed the responsibility of the State concerning taking care of these citizens and to present the required help for them to be able to assume their roles in the society.”

“We should respect the humanity without dealing with them on the basis of their disability,” he added.
