Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The engineer, Shirwan al-Waili, described the electric situation in Iraq as “Bad and shameful and disproportionate to the enormous sums spent for it since 2003 till now.”

A statement by Waili’s office received by IraqiNews.com quoted his, as saying “The huge amounts spent to the electric sector in Iraq are (37) USD Billions, but the electric power is still a big problem for the Iraqi people and damaged the important sectors such as the industrial sector.”

“Without the continuity of the electric power, no factory can work or no field can produce to store it products,” he added.

“The crisis of the electric power was done due to the failed administrational performance that increase it because using the governmental capacities without the investment by the international companies cannot settle it,” he concluded.
