Weak measures of SJC behind delay in fighting corruption, says Asadi

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Integrity Parliamentary Committee, Hussien al-Asadi, assured that “The weak measures taken by the Supreme Judicial Council are behind the delay in settling the corruption cases.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The SJC conducted weak and slow procedures against the corruption.”

“We held several meetings with the SJC and we intend to host key officials within the SJC and the other judicial committees over these dilatory measures,” he added.

“The Parliamentary Integrity Committee is following up some cases related to corruption in some Ministries including the Ministry of Finance,” he mentioned.

“The Committee is also observing some violations committed by the Ministry of Trade,” he concluded.
