”White Al-Iraqiya” MP charges political blocs with being unserious to settle the security cabinet posts

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Spokeswoman of the so-called White al-Iraqiya bloc, Alia Nuseif, has charged the political blocs with being non-serious to settle the dossier of the security cabinet posts, denying that the Parliament would hold an emergency session to vote on the candidates for those posts.   “There is nothing in the horizon that a Parliament emergency session would convene to vote on the candidates for the security cabinet posts, despite fact that their dossier is among the most important dossiers, in the event of their naming would help to serve the security, economic and service conditions,” Nuseif told IraqiNews.com news agency.   She charged that “no politician cares about the said important dossier,” saying that “a large number of Iraqi Parliament Members are abroad nowadays, thing that would cause failure to complete the legal percentage for the proposed secession, if it would ever be held.”   Noteworthy is that differences have taken place since more than 4 months about the candidates for the security cabinet posts, that are still vacant, especially the interior and defense ministers’ posts, the first being the share of the National Coalition, led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and the other being the share of al-Iraqiya Coalition, led by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, with each side rejecting the candidate of the other.   SKH (IT)
