White bloc calls to allocate sufficient budget for IHEC to conduct PCs elections
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc called “The Government to allocate sufficient financial budget for the Independent High Electoral Commission to conduct the elections of the Provincial Councils.”
The Secretary General of the White bloc, Jamal al-Batiekh, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The elections should be conducted on time without delay to be able to conduct other elections swiftly as scheduled.”
He called “The political blocs to keep the elections away from the political disputes.”
“It is very necessary to conduct the elections on time,” he concluded.
Earlier, the head of the Independent High Electoral Commission, Faraj al-Haidari, ruled out conducting the elections of the Provincial Councils due to the insufficient financial allocations.
