White bloc confirms its support for Maliki’s proposals over disputed areas

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the White bloc, Jamal al-Batiekh, announced that his bloc supports the three proposals presented by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, over the disputed areas.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “While attending the meeting of the heads of the political blocs with Maliki, we find a great response by the blocs to Maliki’s proposals over the disputed areas especially the proposal of forming a military forces from the citizens of these areas to protect their territories.”

“The Iraqiya Slate and the Kurdistani Alliance was absent from the meeting and this will hinder the dialogues among the blocs,” he added.

“The three proposals include forming military forces from the citizens of these areas to protect their territories and to resort to the Federal Court in this issue,” he concluded.
